Our Service Department has the most up-to-date factory special tools and diagnostics in Australia. At Motosport Yamaha we use Yamaha genuine parts and Yamalube lubricants as recommended by the Yamaha factory as we want to make sure your Yamaha receives the quality treatment it deserves.

Our tech team has over 25 years of experience in the motorcycle industry and they are ready to take care of your machine.
> Alain Rostenne, workshop manager
| Alain has been with Motosport Yamaha since 2002 after two years as a mechanic in Darwin. He completed his four year apprenticeship in 1993 in South Africa and worked in the motor industry there before accepting the job in Darwin in 2000 and migrating to Australia. Since commencing with us nearly a decade ago, Alain has completed a suite of courses and is fully qualified to work on every type of machine that comes through the workshop door. In line with Motosport Yamaha's dedication to quality, Alain encourages his staff to take part in ongoing training with Yamaha to ensure they are fully qualified in the latest technologies and skills, and to make sure the whole team performs servicing and repairs to manufacturer specifications. |
> Barrie Ranger, mechanic
| After working as an auto electrical apprentice in Bundaberg, Barrie moved to Townsville in February 2006 as he has family here. Not long after, we offered Barrie an apprenticeship at Motosport Yamaha and he worked hard to complete it early and qualified in mid 2009. We were keen to keep him on as a mechanic in our tech team and now he goes to Sydney every year to increase his skills and qualifications at the Yamaha training facility. He also loves street racing on his 250cc bike and hopes to take his racing career to the next level. |

| Townsville's sultry weather is vastly different to northern Germany's climate, but that didn't stop Heiko from migrating to Townsville in 2008 to work at Motosport Yamaha. But adapting to the climate was the least of his worries as he had to requalify after originally completing his apprenticeship in Germany and working in the trade there for years. Since starting with us, he has also completed Yahama training courses and specialises in golf cars and jet skis, but can work on everything. Heiko use to race in motocross events in Germany, but after a few injuries and then spending three and a half months in hospital, he decided to stick with road riding. |
> Kyle Nevin, apprentice
| Motocross and supercross racing is Kyle's passion, and becoming an apprentice at Motosport Yahama last year is one more step forward in the racing career. He plans to work hard and finish his apprenticeship early while also focussing on his racing career as a sponsored racer under Motosport Yamaha colours. Kyle has been racing motorcycles and working on his race bikes since he was six years old, so he is off to a flying start already. Like most of the tech team here, he appreciates working in one of the few air-conditioned workshops in Townsville and contributing as a team member. |
> Greg Wood, fitter/detailer
| Greg has had a few careers within the motor industry and currently assembles new products and supports the tech team at Motosport Yamaha. He started as a mechanic apprentice back in the 1980s and became a cab driver for a while, and joined us in early 2011. |

Relax while you wait or zoom away on a hire cycle
While your pride and joy is being serviced or repaired you are welcome to relax in our service reception area where magazines, TV, DVDs, and complimentary brewed coffee are available. If you need to keep on the move, customers are invited to use our "Hooter Scooter Hire" or motorcycle hire service at a very special rate while your scooter or motorcycle is being serviced. Hire prices start at an unbelievable $10 per day.

Power is nothing without control, so let our team fit your vehicle with tyres that will give superior performance and handling.
Our comprehensive range covers most popular brands including Dunlop, Pirelli, Michlin, IRC, 6ply ATV etc for your sports, cruiser, MX, enduro, scooter ATV and ATV sports, and kids' bikes from Pee Wee 50 upwards.
Accident quotes and repairs
No-one wants it to happen, but unfortunately accidents happen - and the only thing worse than that is dealing with the paperwork and getting quotes. As we specialise in accident repairs, and regularly deal with all the insurance companies, we can help make it a little bit easier for you.
We price and use only genuine parts to replace the damaged original and can get your vehicle back on the road in no time at all. While we have your vehicle, it will be securely stored under cover until repairs are completed.
Our service can also include a pickup by our contractor with delivery to Motosport to assess the damage and provide a detailed quotation or estimate.
Pick up and delivery
We can help you get your golf car, motorcycle (and side car), or ATV in to us for service or repair. Contact Deb, our service department manager, for details about pick up and delivery. Our contractor has the best prices in town and will also do out-of-town jobs by arrangement.

Selling or re-registering your motorcycle from interstate? We can inspect your motorcycle and issue approved roadworthy certificates.
